BBC Countryfile Magazine has been given a makeover to introduce more of the elements our readers have told us they want and we hope the overall package is more beautiful, intriguing and surprising than ever.

Places to explore – we've completely redesigned our ‘Great Days Out’ section to include more walks and ideas for discovering new parts of the countryside. And hopefully there should always be something near you, wherever you live. Beautiful photography – using the finest photographers in the land, we aim to capture the character and enchantment of the British countryside, as well as the people and wildlife that inhabits it. More reader input – readers often send us great stories, questions, ideas and images of their travels in Britain. We're including more of these in the magazine in our opening ‘Month in the Country‘ section and throughout the magazine. Seasonal events and activities – we've reworked our ‘Month in the Country’ section to really create the atmosphere of the month and the season, including more voices from the countryside. Big features – we look at all the big issues affecting the countryside, discover its wonderful wildlife and history, and meet craftspeople and other rural characters.
