I hate to be the bearer of bad and sad news
and it is with deep regret that I share the
following but I found out today that the
world lost another great person. This person
is someone whom I considered a good and
personal friend. My friend Radar Roy passed
away yesterday. For those who knew him you
knew that Roy was a brilliant man who had a
heart of gold. He was a gentle giant. I will
miss my friend and even though we didn't see
eye to eye on a lot of things I am where I am
today in part because of his friendship.

I remember when Roy found out I was going to
speak at Ungagged 2014 (The SEO Conference)
he contacted me and asked if I could get him
into the event as a speaker and without
hesitation I did. Roy was a genius at SEO and
he and I would go after keywords back and
forth seeing who could outdo the other. It
was something we did for fun to better our
skills. Well that was the last time I saw him
and got to spend time with my friend. We did
speak on the phone a few times after that but
I'll never forget the last time I got to see
him in Las Vegas. He had lost a lot of weight
and had a pep in his step. He was looking
good and seemed to be feeling good. He was
happy to share his knowledge and give of
himself to all those who were in attendance.
That was Roy a consummate giver.

I am deeply saddened that he is gone but know
that he's in a better place. I ask those of
you who knew him to please keep him and his
family in prayer to uplift and strengthen
them in their time of need.

Now please pay attention to the following...

My wife and I always include our phone number
towards the bottom of our emails. We always
tell people we are there for them if they
need us. We're just a phone call away and we
truly mean that. Please know that Jen and I
don't just see you as a customer, student or
subscriber. We see you as friends and some
as family. If you ever need to talk about
anything and practically at any hour please
don't feel that you are alone. I'll take
your call and listen to you. If I can help
I will but please don't ever think you are
alone in this world. Life is too precious
and even though things may seem like they
are at their worst if you just give them a
little bit of time they will get better.
